DESCRIPTIF LONG

Official Selection - Cannes 2020
SUMMARY:
FILM: ‘Les choses qu’on dit, les choses qu’on fait’ (« Love Affair(s) ») directed by Emmanuel Mouret (122min)
DATE & TIME: Thursday 22nd October –   Screening starts at 6PM
CINEMA: L’Entrepôt, 7 rue Francis de Pressensé, 75014 Paris
DETAILS:

Join us on October 22nd for a French movie night in partnership with L’Entrepôt! « Love Affair(s) » set-up is a classic one: two strangers, thrown together by circumstance, while away the time chatting about love against the stunning backdrop of the French countryside. Not a bad way to spend a vacation, and certainly not a bad way to spend two hours of a movie.

THE MOVIE:
Vacations in the French countryside. Daphne, three months pregnant, finds herself alone to welcome Maxime, her boyfriend François’ cousin. François had to leave in a hurry for Paris to cover for a sick colleague. For four days, while waiting for his return, Daphne and Maxime get to know each other and share very intimate stories that bring them closer… A contemporary star-crossed love affair, where no partner is more at fault than the other. Multiple love triangles seen with authenticity, elegance and compassion. - Synopsis
Fascinating, elegant and at times beautifully emotional (Dequenne’s monologue about the ‘love of ownership’ is formidably apt), Love Affair(s) finds Mouret at the top of his game, wading through continual odysseys inspired by crimes of the heart. - Ion Cinema

THE PLAN:
The screening will take place at L’Entrepôt cinema, our new partner cinema in the heart of the 14th, at 6PM.

Covid-19 era sanitary measures, drawn up by French health authorities, include the obligatory wearing of masks when moving around in the foyer and the restaurant but not when seated in the theatre, one empty seat between separate groups of spectators, the cleaning of the theatre at least twice a day, and tickets are available ONLINE ONLY: link below
Spoiler alert: two straight people of opposing sexes should never be left alone together to pour their hearts out… Join us on October 22nd for « Love Affair(s) » !
