Paris is a city where every corner could be an Instagram spot. The architecture, the Seine, and the adorable cafes make up this beautiful city. I have rounded up the best 15 Paris Instagram Spots that you can’t miss while in Paris. I’ve included some famous recognizable spots, as well as some hidden ones you may have not known about!

BEST PARIS INSTAGRAM SPOTS

1. TROCADERO

Starting off this list with probably the most obvious IG Spot: Trocadero. Trocadero is a large square located across the Seine River offering unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower! There are plenty of places to take a photo here with the Eiffel in the background.

Tip: This location gets very busy, so if you’d like to get an empty shot, you’ll have to arrive in the early morning. Also, the ledge where most people sit on is very slippery so I didn’t even bother trying to sit on it!

2. SACRE COEUR

Located in the highest part of the city in Montmarte, this Basilica overlooks the entirety of Paris. Even when you are driving or walking around the streets of Paris you’ll get glimpses of this church.

Tip: Again, if you want an empty shot, you’ll have to get there early. I was there around 10 AM in November and it wasn’t that busy. Don’t forget to walk behind the church. Hardly anyone is there and you can get a unique shot of the church.

3. LA MAISON ROSE

This rose colored cafe probably has shown up on your Instagram feed more than once. La Maison Rose is located in Montmarte, just steps away from Sacre Coeur. But not only is it just a cute pink cafe, there is also a lot of history tied to it. Opened since 1905, Picasso, Modigliani are some of the many artists who frequented this spot.

Tip: If you were looking to enjoy the cafe, it is closed on Tuesdays.

4. LE CONSULAT

Another historic cafe in Montmarte, Le Consulat was also home to many artists in the 19th Century. I hear it gets pretty busy on the weekends, so I’d opt to go during the weekday. Also there is the cutest souvenir shop across the street selling Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec posters.

5. PINK MAMA

Not only is this restaurant super Instagramable, the food and service is amazing! Definitely make a reservation for Pink Mamma as it gets very busy, even on a Tuesday afternoon. The interior is a design nerds dream! Be sure to get to the top floor for an amazing photo opportunity over the staircase and the stunning green bar.

6. PALAIS ROYAL

Nestled in the 1st arrondissement of Paris is Palais Royal that was home to Cardinal Richelieu and later a childhood home of Louis XIV. While you can no longer go inside, you can enjoy the gardens and the neat square that houses a unique striped art installation.

7. SEINE RIVER

There is nothing more beautiful than watching the sunset on the Seine River. Bring a bottle of bubbly, and add some french pastries and enjoy your night. And because the Seine river flows through all of Paris, another Paris Instagram Spot is overlooking the many bridges. You can also take the classic Bateaux Parisians boat tour and cruise along the seine river for another perspective.

8. OPERA GARNIER

One of my favorite rooms in Paris is inside the Opera Garnier. The design looks like a smaller Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, but is much closer to get to! The design of this whole theater is just stunning. This is also the home setting to the Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. There is a tour of the Opera Garnier that takes place after hours. You can explore this beautiful building at night with a small group and learn more about this opera house.

Tip: If you want no one in the shot, come during the opening hours. However, I came during the afternoon and waited patiently for a break of tourists. I managed to get no one in my shot!

9. CAFE DE FLORE

Cafe de Flore is one of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris, and is such an iconic place. This is an ideal place to people watch, as in the past many famous writers did the same!

10. WALL OF LOVE

The Wall of Love is an art wall located in Montmarte. Have fun trying to find your language written on the wall of love! It took me a while to find the english version, but it’s fun to see how many languages are out there.

11. BIR HAKEIM BRIDGE

A beautiful spot to capture the eiffel tower is the Bir Hakeim Bridge that crosses over the Seine River. You’ll find plenty of people doing the same, but it’s definitely worth checking out.

12. ODETTE

This street looks like a Parisian dream with the beautiful architecture, and the cobblestone streets. Be sure to go inside Odette and try their cream-puff!

13. NOTRE-DAME

One  of the best examples of Gothic Architecture is Notre-Dame Cathedral. The construction started in 1163 and took 200 years to complete. Be sure to go inside to see the interior of this stunning Cathedral.

14. AU VIEUX

Located just steps behind Notre-Dame is Paris’s oldest buildings, and is now a chic cafe. You can also tour the inside without having a meal!

15. LOUVRE MUSEUM

Last but not least, one of my favorite Instagram spots of Paris the is the Louvre Museum. There are so many angles to capture this- day or night!
