Parc de la Tête d'Or - Lyon (6ᵉ arrondissement)
With its 105 hectares, the Parc de la Tête d'Or is the largest urban park in France. Located to the north of the city center, it is a veritable green lung, popular with students, families and sports enthusiasts alike. Designed in the style of an English garden, it combines natural areas, water features, play facilities and specialized gardens.
Spaces, activities and student atmosphere
The park offers a wide range of free and paying activities. There's a large lake with rowing and pedal-boat hire, a botanical garden with tropical greenhouses, a huge rose garden, and a free zoo with giraffes, zebras, red pandas and exotic birds. It's a great place to stroll, picnic or jog. The mini-train, merry-go-rounds and ponies add a playful touch, especially at weekends.

The park is open every day, with opening times varying according to the season. Admission is free, including to the zoo and gardens. Accessible by metro, bus or bicycle, the park has several entrances distributed around its perimeter. The site is generally suitable for people with reduced mobility.
