Musée de l'Illusion - Lyon (2ᵉ arrondissement)

Located within the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, in the heart of Lyon, the Musée de l'Illusion offers an interactive immersion into the world of optical illusions, perception games and sensory experiences. Over fifty fun and educational installations allow visitors to challenge their visual and cognitive perception in a modern, accessible setting.

Atmosphere, content and student audience

The experience is as much for curious students as for families or groups of friends. There are inverted rooms, holograms, optical illusions and interactive devices designed to trick the senses. Explanatory panels make the whole experience instructive, with photo points clearly marked to capture the best effects. The place is appreciated for its scientific yet entertaining side, perfect for an unusual outing or a moment of relaxation in the city center.

Opening hours, prices and accessibility

The museum is open every day, with extended evening hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Reduced rates are available for students, young people, disabled visitors and families. Access is easy from Bellecour, with public transport right next door. The site is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
