UCLy Catholic University of Lyon

The Université Catholique de Lyon (UCLy), founded in 1875, is a private institution of higher education recognized as being in the public interest. It welcomes nearly 12,100 students, including over 2,300 international students, on its Carnot and Saint-Paul campuses in Lyon and Alpes Europe in Annecy. It offers courses in law, political science, management, literature, languages, human sciences, biology, philosophy, theology and psychology.

Student life and services

Student life is active here, with numerous associations, a chaplaincy, a choir, cultural events and support dedicated to health, disability and precariousness. UCLy also boasts an extensive university library, a university restaurant accessible via the IZLY card, a solidarity grocery store and a housing service. Guidance and support services are available throughout the curriculum.

International and support

UCLy welcomes around 20% international students and has been awarded the "Bienvenue en France" level 2 label. The Pôle International and the International Student Desk help international students with administrative formalities, accommodation and integration. Activities such as language cafés, buddy programs, intercultural workshops and outings are organized on a regular basis.
