Sciences Po Paris: Institute of Political Studies of Paris

Founded in 1872, Sciences Po Paris is an internationally renowned institution of higher education and research, specializing in the humanities and social sciences. Located in the heart of Paris, in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, the main campus welcomes undergraduate, master's and doctoral students to its 7 schools.

Training courses

University College (Bachelor - Bac +3)

The undergraduate program at Sciences Po lasts three years:

  • Year 1: Introduction to the humanities and social sciences (law, political science, history, economics, sociology, humanities).
  • 2nd year: Advanced studies in two disciplines chosen from three majors: Economics and Society, Political Humanities, or Politics and Government.
  • 3rd year: Year abroad at one of 470 partner universities or a combination of an academic semester and an internship semester.

Masters (Bac +5)

Students can enter one of Sciences Po's seven schools:

  • School of Public Affairs
  • School of International Affairs (PSIA)
  • Law School
  • School of Journalism
  • School of Management and Innovation
  • Urban school
  • Research School

Each school offers a variety of master's programs, with opportunities for double degrees in partnership with prestigious institutions such as Columbia University, London School of Economics, and HEC Paris.

PhD

Sciences Po offers doctoral programs in political science, sociology, economics, history and law, within the Research School.
