Les Chantiers de la Garonne - Bordeaux (Bastide / Darwin district)

Les Chantiers de la Garonne is an atypical space on the banks of the Garonne, in the Darwin district. This hybrid venue combines a restaurant-brasserie, bar, nautical clubhouse and urban beach overlooking the river. The atmosphere is both relaxed and committed, in a setting with an industrial and plant-based aesthetic.

Cuisine, atmosphere and student life

The restaurant focuses on a simple, local menu: fish from the fish market, seafood, homemade pizzas, tapas, organic and seasonal produce. Vegetarian options are also available. The restaurant also features craft beers from the La Lune brewery. Students and young professionals come here in the evening or at weekends to chill out on the urban beach, enjoy a meal or attend DJ sets or nautical events. The venue also hosts training courses in responsible catering.

Schedules, access and space

Open non-stop from lunchtime until late at night, the place operates without reservation, with service indoors and on the terrace depending on the weather. Easy access by streetcar, bus or bike. The outdoor spaces, eco-responsible approach and free-spirited atmosphere make this a popular address for Bordeaux students.
